Helping the Simmons Family

It’s not easy for us to ask for help, but the time has come where we need to.
Mike has been unable to work for months due to increasing issues with Trigeminal Neuralgia that began during his time in the Air Force after sustaining nerve damage. TN is sometimes called the suicide disease, because the pain is so bad, and there’s often no solution. There is no cure.
Mike has found a neurosurgeon that thinks he can possibly provide some relief. Brain surgery is scheduled for July 24. He will have a long road to recovery, and will not be able to return to work for several more months, if ever.
We we have sought help through all official channels, we’re selling what we can and have scheduled a garage sale, but we’re now turning to our family and friends. We’re asking for your help.
As the only one working, even with a recent promotion and raise, I am barely able to pay our bills. I take every extra shift that I can, which is hard to do with appointments for Mike and Eden for her mobility issues. We’re behind on everything; months behind in some cases, and close to disconnection. I will need to take a few days off to be with Mike after his surgery, which will only make things worse.
In addition to keeping up with bills, we have two girls that need school supplies, and both of them will need new shoes before school begins.
The only reason we’ve been able to make it this far is love and support from family and friends, and we’re hoping we can count on you for help one more time.
Thanks, blessings, and love,
Angie, Mike, Eden, and Skylar
