Anthony Williams(49) an officer with the Mobile Police department is a loving father of three to Deontae(25), Anthony(21), and Indiya(15). Before joining MPD, after graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy where he was on a nuclear submarine. After 4 years and being honorably discharged, he returned home to Alabama and joined the Daphne Police Department for 5 years. He then was with Mobile Infirmary police/security for 1 year and then joined the Mobile Police Department in 2012.

In early May, Anthony began to have pain in his lower back that he thought was a pinched nerve. After evaluation, a MRI was done, which revealed a mass. He underwent a biopsy and on May 29th he received the diagnoses that it was cancer.

On June 3rd, he was told that it was Stage 4 Kidney Cancer that has spread to his spine. He has decided to seek a second opinion for his necessary cancer treatment. 

Anthony will be out of work for an undetermined time and travel expenses, medical and monthly bills, will add up quickly. Any donation is greatly appreciated during this difficult time and please keep Anthony and his family in your prayers.
