Support a Mother's Journey Back to Work

Hello everyone,

I just want to start by saying this is really difficult for me to have to ask for help. I am at a loss. About 3 weeks I totaled my car, I had fainted behind the wheel which was presumed to be a seizure. When I got to the ER, they ran all the tests, CT scan, blood work, drug tests etc and everything came back normal. My PCP believes it is stress related and is having me follow up with a cardiologist and neurologist.

Thankfully my son and I were okay. And no one else was involved in the crash. Thank god.

I’m having a hard time putting the pieces back together, I had a job interview the same day of the accident, and was supposed to start the same week. I can’t get a job because I can’t get my son to daycare which also means I can’t work. I tried getting babysitting jobs, house cleaning jobs, it just seems I’m not having much luck. Also, Just the few times I had to Uber him to daycare (he has to go at least one day a week otherwise I would have to pay out of pocket for the whole week because child and family helps me with daycare costs) it costs over 50 dollars since it’s in a couple towns over. I have great friends and my mom who have helped however I cannot keep asking because they have work themselves and their own life too and I just feel horrible having to ask.

Once I get a car I’ll be working right away I have multiple opportunities and I’m ready to get back on my feet. I’m even willing to consider this a loan and I have no problem paying back anyone who is willing to help me during this difficult time in my life. We can come up with a payment plan.
