Hi, my name is Jessie Davis and I’m opening up this fundraiser on behalf of my late Dad, Frank Rogers’ and my mom, Tracey Rogers. As most of you know Dad passed away in January after an extensive year + in the hospital and then the rehab facility with short gut syndrome following an heart surgery in 2021.

Due to some prior existing complications my Mom found out last week that Dad’s life insurance would not be paying out his benefits, leaving her responsible for an extremely large amount of debt to the funeral home, as well as other end of life expenses and bills incurred as she traveled to see and help care for him.

Unfortunately Mom is disabled and on a fixed monthly income so coming up with the funds to cover Dad’s funeral, medical expenses, and estate expenses is going to be nearly impossible for her on her own.

Since Dad was unable to work for the last 2 years roughly due to illnesses she has been left with extensive outstanding bills and her only mode of transportation has been repossessed by the bank since she is unable to make the payments on it.

In addition to the burden she is already carrying financially, she’s been notified that her home was put on the market with very little notice and sold immediately. She has about 2 weeks left before she needs to vacate the property and find a new rental within her fixed disability monthly income.

Throughout the past couple of months my mom has continued to maintain a positive attitude and to do her best to sort Dad’s affairs without asking for help from anyone. It is my hope that this fundraiser will help give her a portion of the funds she needs to get herself a portion of Dad’s final expenses paid, a reliable mode of transportation to drive, and a little bit of help with finding a security deposit and first/last month’s rent on a new home.
