My dad, Stan Lehman has been married to my mother Rita for 40 years. He was healthy and fit going about life as usual playing basketball with his sons every Monday night and volleyball every Tuesday night. About 2 months ago he started getting overly fatigued with small activities at first and would attempt to "push through it" because there didn't seem to be an obvious reason for it. As days went by his family grew increasingly concerned with his extreme lack of strength; so three weeks ago he was able to get an appointment with a naturopathic doctor who ordered blood tests. When the blood tests came back he was referred for further testing and a CT scan. After the CT scan it became apparent that he was experiencing the symptoms of metastasized stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has metastasized to his liver, lung and lymp nodes.
My dad Stan has been a vegetarian his entire life and he and Rita have always been mindful of their diet, believing in the wellness that nature brings. When the oncologist mentioned that Chemotherapy and radiation was next, Stan and Rita made the decision to find a natural mode of treatment that would have a natural approach instead. Stan was led to Hope4Cancer treatment center which addresses cancer treatment holistically and through non-invasive and natural means including things like Sono-Photo Dynamic Therapy, Sunivera Immunotherapy, Photo Dynamic Therapy, detoxification, full spectrum nutrition, oxygenation, Microbiome restoration, along with emotional and spiritual healing.
Stan has decided to pursue a 12-month treatment at Hope4Cancer in Tijuanna, Mexico. He bought plane tickets for himself and Rita after reserving a spot starting on May 7, 2020. He will be at the intensive treatment center for three weeks where they will start the treatment. After the three weeks he will be sent home with all the electronic equipment and dietary plan and supplements to continue treatments for the rest of the 12 month treatment plan. After three months he will go back to the facility for a checkup and re-evaluation to monitor the progress.
The money that we are fundraising will go to the initial 3-week stay at the facility, the ongoing 11 months of treatment equipment and supplements, the dietary alternatives/schedule, and the travel back and forth to Mexico. Without insurance coverage for this treatment any monetary contribution would be beneficial.
For continued updates on dads progress and therapy that he will be receiving in Mexico, there will be a FB page with daily updates on dad's experience and progress.
