Jasmine's Journey
On the 28th January 2023, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl Jasmine.
We had waited for 41 weeks and 1 day to find out SHE WAS A GIRL. A girl, my girl… We waited to hear that magical cry… but it never came. For 45 minutes a team worked on Jasmine in front of us.
Finally, they came to put her in my arms. My baby girl was dead. Our beautiful daughter, gone. Our hearts shattered. Our world forever changed.
As part of Jasmine's Journey we want to honour her little but impactful life and we want her to be in the world. Jasmine will be the reason that we do things not the reason we don’t.
Right now it is too soon to know exactly what that means but her dad Tim and I would like to raise money for Teddy's Wish who raise funds for life-saving research into SIDS, neonatal death and stillbirth and provide bereavement support services for grieving families.
Tim and I love hiking, it is one of our favourite activities and we have hiked most of the coastline of Ibiza where we live. I also feel closest to Jasmine in nature, by the ocean and the trees. On the 23rd March as part of our healing and grieving process, we are going to walk 85 km (in 4 days) around Formentera for Jasmine. Jasmine’s Journey will be with an awesome organisation called Walking Ibiza.
Every penny we raise will go to funding direct councelling for parents who are living through the unimaginable. They will receive 12 sessions for free to support their grieving process.
Thank you in advance for your support. ❤️
