Tony Needs Our Help!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Julia Montgomery, and this fundraising effort is to help my dear friend and business partner Tony Jerez.

Last Friday night a fire broke out in his apartment building— an SRO on Hyde Street in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, and he is now locked out of the building, with only the clothes on his back, and without a home. The Red Cross who was on the scene the night of the fire has only helped him with a Visa card for $350. The building is padlocked and it could be months before anyone is able to get back in.
This is truly a living nightmare, with no end in sight.

Everyone in Glen Park, and many surrounding neighborhoods, knows Tony. He has been managing the oldest operating pet food store in San Francisco, Critter Fritters Pet Food and Supplies, located at 670 Chenery Street in Glen Park. He’s been there for almost 20 years— tirelessly working year in and year out, and ALL THROUGH the pandemic to be sure that everyone’s pets had food in their bowls, and the supplies they needed. He is an ESSENTIAL part of the neighborhood and one of the kindest and most honest people I’ve ever known. I really want to help him, and I’m asking everyone I know to join me. The goal here is to help him through this ordeal, and to help him find a new place to call home.
