This is Aliza, a sweet, brave, smart, strong, beautiful young woman with a great sense of humor! In her 18 short years, she has faced more challenges than most of us will face our whole lives. Aliza's ongoing health issues have resulted in multiple surgeries, dozens of hospitalizations, and countless tests, procedures, and appointments. She's a tough girl and has fought through many scary times!

Aliza was hospitalized last month after suffering respiratory distress and then cardiac arrest. She gave her parents quite a scare! After numerous unsuccessful attempts to extubate her, her doctor's recommended a tracheostomy. The procedure was successful and Aliza is healing while her parents learn to care for her with her new equipment.

Due to Aliza's extended hospitalization, her in-home nurses were forced to find other jobs. Aliza will be going home to be cared for by her parents. As Aliza returns home there will be many costs associated with her care. She will need one of her parents available around the clock until they can find some help. This will affect their ability to work full-time hours. Please consider donating to this beautiful girl and her loving family. While they are so grateful to have Aliza healing and they are looking forward to getting her home, this challenge is far from over. My hope is that we are able to help Tom and Ashli so that they can focus solely on Aliza, Brianna, and Kaylee.
