From the time I was a little boy, the barber shop has been a big part of my life. I remember my first barber, Stacey, at a place called “Hats Off” barbers. He had baseball caps of just about every sports team you can think of sitting above his chair. I would always flip through the book in the waiting area, so excited to pick out my next cut! Stacey went above and beyond to make me feel great walking out of that place.

Fast forward to more recently, my current barber, Garrett, has been a great influence in my life. On my wedding day, Garrett opened up the shop on his own time and gave me a fresh cut for the biggest day of my life, and it meant so much.

These men are a great example to me.

A few months ago, I was in a search for what I’m wired to do for a career. My wife ended up telling me, “I can see you being a barber!” And I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

My name is Jonah. I have a wife and a little girl who I love very much. I love to serve in my local church, work out at the gym, read books, and of course, spend time with my amazing family. I enjoy working with my hands and learning new skills. I’m ready and willing to face the challenge of learning this trade.

It would be a great honor and privilege to be the one behind the chair.
