Help Troy Come Home
Donation protected
2.4.22 Update - Troy is finally home and is resting comfortably. He is on 5 meds twice daily, but is loving being home. He has started being demanding again with his barks, so that is progress back to his sassy-self. He is still weak and not super energetic, but this is to be expected from being hospitalized for almost a week. I am so overly ecstatic for his return back home and my heart is finally not aching so much. The finalized veterinary bills were over $7,000, but Troy and I wanted to thank you from the deepest parts of our hearts for the current donations and prayers that he has received. Thank you!!!!!

2.1.22 Update - Troy had to stay an additional night at Med Vet for around the clock supervision. He currently has a nasal cavity tube that is delivering nutrients and protein to his system to assist with building up his strength. The vets are continuing to monitor him and his disposition hourly. Troy was observed as being more awake today, so that is a step in the right direction. Troy and I wanted to thank any one who has donated and/or sent a prayer his way from the bottom of our hearts. Words can not express our gratitude for the support <3!!
8:40 PM - Just left the vet and Troy has to stay within the care of Med Vet for another day. Please continue to send good vibes and prayers his way. Anything will help..... I so desperately want to take my boy home.

My name is Kaitlyn and I am fundraising for my 12 year old husky Troy. He is a very energetic, compassionate, and stubborn boy who has been my loving side kick since college in 2010. Recently, he has had an increasing amount of weight loss which caused concern with my vet, resulting in an expensive scope. The biopsy showed that he has advance inflammatory bowel disease and was placed on a very potent medication to address these needs. A couple days in on these medications, Troy began to shake, howl in pain, secrete brown bile from his mouth, vomit constantly, and exhibit diarrhea. Due to these severe and concerning side effects, Troy has been hospitalized for 4 days and each day, though stable, he has not yet made improvement. The vets are continuing to monitor Troy and provide him with support and medication to keep him comfortable, though the medical care does come at a high price.

Troy was my first dog I bought in life and he truly is the love of my life. I am a single woman who has not had the opportunity to have children and Troy has been that comfort and companion that I so desperately needed these past 12 years. Troy is the most compassionate dog with everyone he meets in life, from letting infants play with his tail to visiting my grandma in the nursing home and laying on her bed before she passed away. He is always the referee at the dog park and my pillow for when life gets a little too difficult.
I work 3 jobs to support all 5 of my animals to guarantee the lives they all deserve based on the abuse they had faced previously, but the income from these jobs is not financially capable of paying for these additional vet bills.
After 4 days with the emergency care at Med Vet, I have reached the financial exhaustion and it is just not in the cards to afford $1000+/day emergency care at the hospital. I have maxed out another credit card to attempt to pay these medical bills, but alas I am asking for help for Troy to continue to receive the amazing vet care he is currently receiving and a little prayer that he makes improvement soon.
