Our beloved Esperanza recently passed away on May 30, 2021. Esperanza was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, wife, grandmother and friend who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind 6 children and many grandchildren.

At the age of 40 she suddenly was thrown into a new world as a widow facing challenges she never had to deal with before, things her husband was responsible for in the relationship. Decisions she now needed to make on her own. In her mind she thought of how she was going to survive without him – not only physically and emotionally, but financially.

Esperanza migrated from Guerrero Mexico to California. She dedicated her new life to working hard and pushing her own grief aside in order to raise her children. My grandmother in my eyes is my superhero. My grandmother taught me to keep moving forward with my job and to teach my children what to do, to follow the path of life, to look at life from a different standpoint, and to live. To have courage to face the things that are good as well as the things that are bad. She always encouraged me to help others. She taught me to be honest, to respect others, and to speak with the truth. Not to mettle in things that are not mine. To know how to respect others, to get along with my family, to know how to minimize my problems, to know many things, to not be negative, and to be positive. She helped me in the good and the bad that I faced. In predicaments I had she always helped me keep moving forward, always giving me advice and supporting me. She always encouraged me to teach my children to feel a sense of self-worth and make the most of their studies. I remember she would always say to me “Nothing will come into your hands if you don’t work hard.”

My grandmother is such an inspiration to many she was always the life of the party and let me tell you Esperanza knew how to dance. Besides knowing how to dance she was an exceptional home maker and had a heart as big as the ocean. She was so friendly and everyone she came across grew to love her too. She loved telling her stories. They consisted of beautiful memories of her and my grandfather, as well as her working chores she had to keep up with her crops and home back in Guerrero.

My family and I are all devastated by my grandmother Esperanza’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give my grandmother the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.

I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of my grandmother’s funeral.

Es difícil hablar de mi abuela Esperanza y aún más difícil recordar recuerdos, descripciones vívidas y detalladas de mi abuelita. Porque con los recuerdos llega la comprensión obvia de que mi abuela se ha ido. Lágrimas y darse cuenta de que aquí es donde terminan los recuerdos.

Nuestra amada Esperanza falleció recientemente el 30 de mayo de 2021. Esperanza fue una maravillosa madre, hermana, tía, esposa, abuela y amiga que conmovió la vida de quienes la rodeaban. Deja atrás a 6 hijos y nietos.

A la edad de 40 años, de repente fue arrojada a un nuevo mundo como viuda que enfrenta desafíos con los que nunca tuvo que lidiar antes, cosas de las que su esposo era responsable en la relación. Decisiones que ahora necesitaba tomar por su cuenta. En su mente probablemente pensó en cómo iba a sobrevivir sin él, no solo física y emocionalmente, sino también financieramente.

Esperanza emigró de Guerrero México a California y dedicó su nueva vida a trabajar duro y obligarla a dejar a un lado su propio dolor para poder criar a sus hijos. Mi abuela a mis ojos es mi superhéroe. Mi abuela me enseñó a seguir adelante con mi trabajo y a enseñar a mis hijos qué hacer, a seguir el camino de la vida, a mirar la vida desde un punto de vista diferente y a vivir. Tener valor para afrontar tanto las cosas buenas como las malas. Ella siempre me animó a ayudar a los demás. Ella me enseñó a ser honesta, respetar a los demás y hablar con la verdad. No temple en cosas que no son mías. Saber respetar a los demás, convivir con la gente, llevarme bien con mi familia, saber minimizar mis problemas, saber muchas cosas, no ser negativo y ser positivo. Ella me ayudó en lo bueno y lo malo que enfrenté. En los apuros que tuve, ella siempre me ayudó a seguir adelante, siempre dándome consejos y apoyándome. Ella siempre me animó a enseñar a mis hijos a tener un sentido de autoestima y aprovechar al máximo sus estudios. Recuerdo que ella siempre me decía "Nada vendrá a tus manos si no trabajas duro".

Mi abuela es una inspiración para muchos que siempre fue el alma de la fiesta y déjame decirte que Esperanza sabía bailar. Además de saber bailar, era una ama de casa excepcional y tenía un corazón tan grande como el océano. Ella era muy amigable y todos los que se cruzaban con ella llegaron a quererla también. Contaría sus historias. Sus historias consistían en hermosos recuerdos de ella y mi abuelo. O de sus arduas tareas que tuvo que hacer para mantenerse al día con sus cultivos y su hogar en Guerrero, México.

Mi familia y yo estamos devastados por la pérdida de mi abuela Esperanza y no estábamos preparados para el alto costo de un funeral. Queremos darle a mi abuela el homenaje que se merece, honrar su memoria y despedirnos por última vez.

Actualmente solicito donaciones para ayudar a cubrir el costo del funeral de mi abuela.
