Hi, my name is Telecia Matthews and I created this page initially to help raise funds for my husband, Fitzroy Matthews, who was a devoted father and husband diagnosed with heart failure since June 2025. He was going through a series of treatments to help with his heart condition and so, we were seeking help to raise funds to finance the installation of a Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Device (CRTD) pacemaker to resynchronize his heart beat. The family funded medical cost as best as possible however, needed financial assistance to continue treatment.

Subsequent to our previous intention, we now advise with profound sadness the passing of Fitzroy Matthews. Fitzroy fought with incredible strength, courage, and grace, and he was deeply loved by so many. While this is not the outcome any of us hoped for, we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support, generosity, prayers, and kind messages from this community throughout his journey.

On behalf of Fitzroy’s family, thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. Your contributions will help to ease the financial burden of medical and funeral expenses whilst providing comfort knowing we are not alone.

Any additional or remaining funds raised will be used to assist the family with outstanding medical costs, funeral and memorial arrangements.
