My daughter moved to Dallas Texas to attend the University of Northern Texas -Denton. She graduated with a degree right before the pandemic hit. It took a while before she found a job.

She was finally able to relax a little bit before going back to school. While having some chest pain she went to the ER and they discovered a mass on her pancreas. She was scared and sad especially since our Aunt died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. I immediately flew out here ( she has no family support here). She has had multi test and procedures to finally being diagnosed. She has a none cancerous pancreatic tumor than needed to be removed. She had the surgery with complications so her hospital stay went from 3days to 11days with a few days in SICU. She is slowly getting better physically but now mentally she is drained because the medical bills have started to come in. According to her planned coverage she pays the standard copay. However the worse part is she is responsible for a coinsurance. So 20% of all the bills. We are thankful she is slowly recovering and thankful to all who have helped us and will help us with her medical bills.
