Help Jessica Through a Season of Loss and Uncertainty In May 2024, Jessica and her partner, Alex, suffered an unimaginable loss — the deaths of two deeply loved family members, just weeks before a family wedding. While still grieving, Jessica — a 6-year uterine cancer survivor — began experiencing concerning symptoms that mirrored those from her original diagnosis. Uninsured at the time and managing a recent autoimmune disorder diagnosis, she pushed through, prioritizing her family’s needs over her own. But over the next several months, her symptoms worsened. By January 2025, it became clear something was seriously wrong. She secured insurance and began the exhausting, expensive process of testing and appointments. In April, her autoimmune diagnosis was ruled out. With no clear answers and mounting health concerns, she was back at square one. So far, Jessica has paid over $1,500 out of pocket — with at least four more appointments ranging from $200 to $600 each in the next few weeks alone. In May, tragedy struck the family again. Soon after, her younger brother was hospitalized with severe Endocarditis. As the eldest of five, Jessica and Alex have been making frequent two-hour trips to support him, all while juggling her own declining health and missed work. Jessica is doing everything she can, but the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming.
