For the last three years, Candi has been dealing with dire medical problems.  Her pancreas, gall bladder, spleen and parts of her stomach and small intestine were removed 16 months ago as a last resort to try and relieve the pain she is in.  Living without the pancreas automatically caused her to become a Type 1 diabetic.  But this is not your normal Type 1 diabetes.  Because she has no pancreas to help in keeping her sugar levels stable, she is on an enzyme medication that costs $600 per month  (after insurance) and without it, she will die.  She also takes about 40 other drugs per day and has an insulin pump to help in keeping her stable.  However, she still ends up hospitalized about once a month and needs IV meds to get her body back on track again.

The pain Candi lives with each and every hour is immense and yet she remains strong for her two children and husband.  Many of her friends and family have reached out to help with meals and housecleaning as well as driving her to her many doctor appointments since she can no longer drive herself.  But the financial impact of all these medical bills is piling up.  That is why we are reaching out today for help.  If there is anything you can do for Candi and her family, it will be much appreciated.
