Meet William, our bright eyed three year old. In his three years of life he has overcome so much and truly has defied all odds. William was born with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, a rare congenital heart defect that affects normal blood flow through his tiny heart. HLHS makes it difficult for the heart to pump oxygenated blood to the body, requiring many surgeries and ongoing medical care. After William was born he had countless hospitalizations, blood transfusions, his first open heart surgery at six weeks old and his next at 8 months. All at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is set to have his next open heart surgery in March, back in Philadelphia. His cardiologist and surgeons have prepared us to be back east for at least a month due to the uncertainty of recovery time. Our family will have to put a pause on our jobs and daily routines during this time. With your support, no matter how big or small, we will be able cover travel expenses, meals, lodging and medical bills. William has truly shown us resilience and bravery but above all, how faithful God is. The Lord has had his hand over William through it all and continues to show us miracles everyday.
