Help Mardann get back on her feet
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We have started this Go Fund Me campaign to try to raise some money for a close friend of ours, Mardann, who was recently involved in a motor bike accident in Vietnam.
Her ordeal included 2 visits to 2 hospitals in Vung Tau, a 2 hour taxi ride to Saigon where she underwent surgery on her left foot to debride wounds. The doctors also had to place stiches and clean other less serious wounds on her right hand/arm (40% abrasians), both shoulders, and chin. She had to spend 3 days in the hospital and is now recovering, while still unable to walk, she is healing and once the wounds and abrasians fully heal, she'll shift her focus to regaining lost movements in her foot and walking again. At this point, she is home bound as she recovers and is unable to work.
Mardann and her boyfriend Reuben moved to Vietnam to teach English and are not afforded the same health care treatment that we are fortunate to have. Reuben has paid for everything out of pocket willingly and without complaint which completely drained their funds.
If you know Mardann, then you know that she's a good person to contribute to and your generosity will be greatly appreciated. And if you love to travel or live abroad then you know being injured in a foreign country, away from friends and family, is one of the biggest fears that could happen to any of us. So let's help pay it forward and help Mardann get back on her feet!
