Some of you may or may not know that one of our very own, Adam Davis a/k/a “Iceman” has been diagnosed with Stage 2 throat/esophageal cancer that has spread into his lymph nodes. Due to the massive size of the noticeable tumor, Adam had a feeding tube inserted last week and will be undergoing aggressive treatment of (5) radiation followed by (1) chemo treatments every week for the next 6 weeks.

Adam has been an employee of the university for over 30 years. He is well-liked by everyone and known for going above and beyond for anyone needing a piece of furniture moved or just offering a friendly hello and his positive “have a great day.” Adam is an avid UofL fan, always sporting his UofL colors down to his shoes. He’s a proud father to his 3 daughters, a son and an adoring grandfather to 7 grandkids.

Adam remains upbeat as always and is already looking forward to returning to work as soon as he can.
