FRIDAY OCTOBER 31ST:

I START RADIATION MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD!!!!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! I am beyond READY and SOOOOO GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE PRAYERS AND LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!!

I am getting 35 treatments, so about five weeks of going to radiation Monday thru Friday. I have one pet sitting client during the first week, too!

I will update how I am doing physically once a week here.

As of today, Friday October 10th, I am home from surgery a d my neurosurgeons got everything out of my head! There is no tumor left! Which means I start Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) on Monday, October 13th. I was previously going to go w Proton Beam at M.D. Anderson but I don't have that kind of time to wait, unfortunately. I have the aggressive Clival Chordoma.

I will be updating everything, everyday that I have an appt and Radiation here and on Facebook.

Howdy! My name is Elizabeth and I was diagnosed with Clival Chordoma (malignant brain tumor) about a year ago. I have had two brain surgeries, a pacemaker installed, and three vocal cord injections (the tumor was pushing on one of my cranial nerves and caused severe palsy on the left side of my face). I have gotten insurance approval to start Proton Beam Radiation at M.D. Anderson, which I will be starting in November! This is so exciting for me! Best news I've gotten since this whole journey started.

I am raising money and asking for donations to cover my living and medical expenses through the end of the year. Radiation will be about eight or nine weeks, five days a week. I am trying to work during this time by dog walking and pet sitting as my life allows.

Please feel free to ask me ANYTHING about this. I am an open book!
