The KC and Midwest music scene is rich in history and current talent. It is a precious asset for us all. But, like everyone, musicians too often face life-altering challenges due to health or other unforseen events. Unfortunately, musicians, due to their profession, rarely have the short-term safety net so many of us enjoy.
Play On KC is an event designed to let KC fans and venues of local music give back and support their musicians. It is a one night celebration of local music and talent, featuring 6 Main Stage acts, with all proceeds to benefit the support funds of the Midwest Music Foundation and KC Blues Society. The money raised goes to insure that our musicians can, indeed, play on.
Your support speaks volumes about your appreciation and value for our local music scene. It says you not ony recognize the joy and entertainment they bring, but the economic realities they face in times of crisis. It says you care.
