Help with medical and other expenses

Hi my name is Journee, my sister Lex and I are raising funds to help support our father who is ill. Covering living expenses and final expenses that are to come.

You’ve probably seen him out and about around town over the years. He’s that dapper man dressed in a suit and tie for a night on the town. He’s that life of the party keeping the dance floor moving. He’s the good time, the laugh. The guy who shows up to all the flashback dances and chili cook offs ready to go, or to out do every costume at Halloween. Now, his light is dimming. You won’t see him out as you used to but he’s still trying to make the most of the final times he’s facing. He refuses less than going out with a bang and he wouldn’t be him if it went any other way.

Originally he was refusing our help, as we have families to raise of our own and are working hard to make our own ends meet during these crazy times life is throwing at us this past year, but finally he is giving us approval to reach out and ask for the help we really need. He’s a proud person and doesn’t like asking for help or needing to share the details of his health and situation. He was staying closed off about everything until recent days. Finally letting those close to him in on the situation.

He is very ill and we are facing some expenses to keep him comfortable and in good spirits. Anything to help us make his final times as comfortable as possible and help with the inevitable final expenses at the end of this journey with him. Cancer is not something we were prepared for, and saying goodbye to our dad at this young of an age as we’re still trying to make memories and learn and grow and share our successes. It’s a hard pill to swallow, knowing that one of these days our goodbyes or goodnight wishes will be the last exchange we have.
