Help send Father Figures improv to iO Fest Chicago

Hi everyone!

We are Father Figures, an Austin-based improv and sketch comedy team — and we're going to Chicago to perform at iO Fest 2025, one of the world's most celebrated comedy festivals! Our team of funny friends was accepted into The iO Theater's annual festival, where we'll get to present our show, Father Figures: Uncut, alongside some of the world's best improv and sketch comics. We're absolutely thrilled...and we need your help to do it!

As you all know, travel and lodging can get very pricey very quickly. That's why we're humbly reaching out to you for support. Between flights, an Airbnb and other expenses, our costs have far surpassed the funds we have in our modest team treasury.

Any amount that you can give will help us tremendously. We're beyond grateful for your support.

Our origin story: We all met each other in a level 3 improv class in 2023 and became fast friends. Then in the late summer of 2024 Ananya, Josh, Kristy, Logan, Mike, Nick and Sean formed the improv supergroup, Father Figures. We currently perform our mainstage show at the ColdTowne Theater and at theaters across Austin, Texas.

Under the guidance of comedy extraordinaire, Dave Buckman — the current Executive Producer of Austin's ColdTowne Theater and a former writer, artistic director, producer and performer at renowned institutions including The Second City and Boom Chicago — Father Figures has accomplished more than we ever imagined was possible.

We're so lucky that we have opportunities like this one to perform something that we care about so much and that we've worked so hard on. There are few things we love more than making live audiences laugh. We're confident that this chance to perform in Chicago at iO Fest is a crucial milestone in our quest to spread mind-altering laughter to audiences all over the world.
