Hello friends,
For those of you who don’t know us, my name is Ashley and this is my twin brother, Philip. For the past 10 years, Bailey has been our partner in crime, a family member and friend to all.
Unfortunately, we were given the news over the weekend that Bailey has been diagnosed with Splenic Hemangiosarcoma. It is known to be a very aggressive cancer that attacks the spleen, and unfortunately, long-term control / survival is difficult to achieve.
As sad as this may be, the good news is - it’s operable! Without surgery, the cancer will be terminal and the survival time is approximately 1-2 months.
Bailey will undergo an emergency operation within the next 48 hours to remove the tumor before it ruptures and most importantly, slow the spread of cancer. Once removed, he will need to undergo further diagnostics to evaluate for any evidence of metastasis (spread of cancer to other areas of the body).
In total, the cost of vet visits, emergency surgery and medication have already skyrocketed to $8,000 with the future still vague..
If you find it in your heart, please consider donating to give Bailey an opportunity to survive and continue living his best doggy life. Even if it’s just $1, every penny counts.
We never thought we would be asking for help to save our best friend Bailey and find it hard to do so. However, he is worth it. He is still trying to be his wild, playful self and we know he has so much more life in him.
If you are unable to contribute, we certainly understand. Please reshare Bailey’s story with your loved ones - we can’t do this without your help!
We appreciate your support and will keep you posted on Bailey’s progress.
With Gratitude,
Ashley & Philip Roman
