The Forest Cove Fighting Frogs was the first swim team founded in the Kingwood area back in the early 1970's. Through the years it has provided an opportunity for kids from 4-18 years old to come together as a family and enjoy the sport of swimming.
In 2017, Hurricane Harvey decimated the subdivision that is home to the Frogs including their pool. The Frogs now have half of the swimmers from previous years and instead of a club house at their pool they have a POD to house all their team's equipment with much of it needing to be replaced and instead of restrooms there are portolet's but the team is staying strong while overcoming obstacles. Over Memorial Weekend the Forest Cove Frogs were hit with another setback....vandalism and theft. The Frog's POD was broken into by vandals from nearby, condemned condominiums. The thieves helped themselves to the team's equipment and supplies. Only three weeks remain in this season but the Frogs need your help to keep their team going for future seasons.
Please consider donating and supporting the Forest Cove Frogs Second Annual Swim-a-thon taking place June 6th.! Each swimmer pledges to swim a certain number of laps during their team's practice and we need your help to reach our goal!
All monies raised will go directly to replacing equipment stolen, updating outdated equipment (we need a whole new set of Swim Blocks) and helping us cover costs of running and maintaining a swim team.
