Blessings for Corina and Baby
Donation protected
This is my beautiful daughter Corina Miranda and her beautiful family of 6 (including her)! They are stationed over 2100 miles away from us in Anchorage, Alaska since November 1, 2014. Corina is a wife to Richard a Sargeant in the US Army , a mother to Jazmine, Richard Jr, Raymond and Robert. She is a loving sister, grandaughter, aunt, niece and cousin and is loved by many!
And so with this I begin to share her dilema! Corina called me on Thursday, August 13, to tell me that her Obstetrician was sendinding her in on Monday the 17th for a biopsy due to a large lump that she found on her breast. On Tuesday, August 18th I received a call with the dreadful news that my daughter had Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer). She is currently 25 weeks pregnant!
She began her Chemo treatments on Friday, September 11, 2015 and will continue having infusions for at least 8 to 12 weeks. They believe this will not harm her unborn baby. The hope is when she is 36 weeks they can introduce the baby into this world through Cesaerian Section, then they will have to conduct surgery on her breast!
This is all moving so rapidly, but, I truly appreciate that all of her team of Drs are very proactve and are leaving nothing to chance. Although, the drive is 1 hour each way (2hours) to get to her Doctors Appointments (Surgeons, High Risk Obstetrician and Oncologist) and her treatments! The costs involved are beginning to become a hardship, since they live on one income! I ask for prayers for her and the baby, for strength to withstand whatever may come their way and that you find it in your hearts to be a blessing and share what you can to help defray some of the costs!
God is good and our vow is to beat this awful disease!
