Hi my name is Abi
I can't believe it... I have qualified for the adaptive Crossfit Games, which are going to be held in Las Vegas this September.
This is a world wide competition, and I am representing the UK and CrossFit All or Nothing in the Neuromuscular Minor Divison
I am in the Neuro Minor Division. I suffer with M. E which is a chronic fatigue syndrome which also causes me problems with my nerves, giving me a chronic lack of power and pain on the left hand side of my body going into my legs and back.
I am ex military I served within the RAF for 12.5 years, I was medically discharged 6 years ago. Fitness has always be my passion, and I have also used fitness as my recovery pathway out of the military. It helps me daily not just physically but mentally. I currently work as a full time personal trainer as I wish to help others reach their own goals too.
After completing the worldwide qualifier the top 20 got through to the semifinals then the top 10 qualified for the finals, I made it into the top 10 qualifying in 4th place against some incredible atheletes.
I am in the finals!!
This is one of my biggest achievements and I want to make make everyone so proud
I train hard on a daily basis and keep showing what can be done no matter what, and won't let my impairment stop me.
To get to the finals in Vegas I am reaching out for support / donations and funding to help towards some necessary costs for this- insurances, training costs, equipment, kit and accommodation etc
Thankyou for taking the time to read this and I am so thankful for any support given
Let's do this
Abi
