Leukemia Fund For Zaraya
My daughter’s name is Zaraya. She is a spirited 8 year old girl that loves to dance, read books, and has dreams of one day being a teacher. She has also been diagnosed with (ALL) Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
February 22nd- February 28th My daughter had been complaining of a sharp pain in her side. When I examined her, there was a small bruise but nothing significant. Towards the middle of that week, I had to take Zaraya to the hospital. She complained of not being able to move around due to pain when trying to move her arms or legs. She was sent home with a diagnosis of pneumonia and a prescription for pain medicine and antibiotics. February 28th, 2016 with more bruising developing around her mouth and legs, Zaraya was immediately hospitalized and diagnosed with ALL. Since then she has undergone multiple surgeries, a bone marrow transplant, multiple transfusions, and chemotherapy.
Goal #1 Get Zaraya home. Visiting extended family in South Carolina is when this all occurred. We have been here at the hospital for a week now out of town. Returning to home in the Midwest is a priority for Zaraya and her family due to the fact of better healthcare facilities and being closer to immediate family.
Goal #2 Provide adequate transportation for Zaraya to assist in treatment and chemotherapy sessions and other medical appointments.
Goal #3 Provide accommodations for Zaraya at home due to her condition
My name is Desiree Blunt and I am the mother of Zaraya. She is an awesome young girl with the potential to leave a big impression on the world and an even bigger personality. I love my baby so much and any help in this transition would seriously help us. This diagnosis of cancer has tremendously changed our lives and I am completely new to everything. Your donations are greatly appreciated and will assist in getting Zaraya home and being able to properly care for her.
