I am reaching out to the community on behalf of Tiffany, a dedicated dog lover and rescue advocate, to help ease the financial burden she’s facing as her newest dog, Hammie, urgently requires surgery.

Tiffany is a selfless woman who runs a doggy daycare, providing care, training, and love to dogs every single day—often without a day off. She also fosters animals in need and is deeply committed to improving the lives of the dogs she cares for. However, over the past two years, Tiffany has faced unimaginable loss, losing three of her beloved pets—Sadie, Willis, and Chito—each one leaving a profound hole in her heart.

The Losses Tiffany Has Endured

Sadie, a cherished companion for over 15 years, was lovingly cared for until her last days, including a custom wheelchair to help her enjoy her final moments. Willis, a dog Tiffany rescued from Thailand, was diagnosed with cancer last year. Despite the heartbreaking news, Tiffany spared no expense in providing him with the best care possible, from frequent vet visits to medication, until he passed away peacefully in her arms. And then, tragically, Chito required emergency surgery that he did not survive.

Despite the overwhelming grief and financial toll from these past two years, Tiffany’s heart remained open. When she saw Hammie, a tiny 7-pound rescue from the Dominican Republic, she knew she had to give him a chance at a better life. Hammie had already endured unimaginable trauma at the hands of his previous owner, including being beaten unconscious, but Tiffany welcomed him into her home, determined to give him a fresh start.

Hammie’s Unexpected Struggles

When Tiffany took Hammie for his first vet check-up in Canada, she was devastated to learn that he has a severely broken hip. Although he was given a clean bill of health prior to being flown to Canada, this injury was not discovered until his vet visit. Without surgery, Hammie will face a life of chronic pain and limited mobility, making it nearly impossible for him to live the happy, active life he deserves.

Tiffany has spent the last two years pouring her heart, time, and resources into caring for her previous animals, but the cost of Hammie’s surgery—estimated at $4,200—is more than she can manage at this time.
