QUINN STRONG Help Her Get a Medical Alert Dog

Donation protected
Help provide a medical alert service dog for Quinn and support for continued medical expenses

A medical alert service dog for Quinn could be life saving. Due to Quinn’s age and not understanding how to read her bodies signs and symptoms of low cortisol due to adrenal deficiency we decided it would benefit her tremendously. It would help her through her everyday challenges and unknowns. Along with making the people she is around aware of an onset emergency. An extensively trained medical alert service dog would detect and alert us when her adrenal levels are low before she goes into a life threatening crisis. Along with alerting of seizure and stroke. It would also carry her emergency medical information and life saving medication. Currently we have no way to detect or determine those medical conditions until it too late. Our goal is for Quinn to be on the spring of 2025 puppy list for her service dog. Training of a medical alert service dog for Quinn's specific needs takes roughly 2-3 years. We are thankful for your continued prayers and support for Quinn and our family.

Quinn was diagnosed in December 2021 at the age of 3 with an extremely rare brain tumor Craniopharyngioma. The tumor still resides and treatment has left Quinn with Optic nerve and chiasm damage, growth hormone deficiency, Hypothyroidism, Eye pallor, sleep disorder, general side effects of the brain tumor and adrenal insufficiency. These are all major lifelong conditions that are irreversible. She has undergone radiation and surgery in effort to restrict the growth of the tumor. Currently she is on medications to control her Hypothyroidism, Adrenal deficiency, and growth hormone deficiency. We are waiting to hear from her medical team in regards to her right posterior communicating artery in her brain as it was not visible on her last MRA. We are working closely with local and non-local doctors and specialists on a regular basis to keep her conditions monitored. It is overwhelming mentally, physically, and financially. The medical appointments, treatments, medications, medical supplies, bills, co-pays, deductibles, travel expenses and out of pocket costs do not stop.
