Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Our dear friend Rachel is facing one of the toughest battles of her life. She was recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, a fight that has brought unexpected emotional, physical, and financial challenges. Rachel is known for her unwavering dedication to her job and patients, incredible strength, unyielding optimism, and the love she shares with those around her. Now, it’s our turn to show her how much she means to us by standing by her side.

Why We Need Your Help

As many know, fighting cancer often comes with overwhelming medical bills, even with insurance. Rachel is the primary breadwinner for her family of four and has already begun chemotherapies including Verzenio (a target therapy), Y90, which is targeted (laser) therapy for her liver, and Truqap (targets ATK1 mutation which she has). Rachel has also been enrolled in a database for medical trials for further treatment options.

As you can imagine, this time is extremely stressful, confusing, and sad for Rachel and her family as they attempt to navigate an uncertain future. Rachel’s husband, Oliver, has decided to go back to school to be MRI technician certified. Her son, Anthony, 3, has childcare needs and will be starting kindergarten this coming fall, and her daughter, Mira, 15, is currently a freshman in high school.

How You Can Help

Rachel is an eternal optimist. More than anything, she covets your prayers and positive thoughts for her and her family. In addition to uplifting prayers, financial contributions are very much appreciated by Rachel and her family. Funds raised will help to ease the financial burden that comes with mounting doctors' appointments, tests, and medications. Rachel is well enough to work at the moment but would like to prepare for a time when she will not be able to provide for her family financially any longer.
