Hello! My name is Myles, and I'm setting up this GoFundMe for my father, Doug.

For those that don't know or do know, Doug has been fighting kidney disease since the start of 2024. He was on long-term disability for the length his employer allowed him. However, towards the spring of 2024, he made the hard decision to step away from his job because he was unable to work with his health issues. Eventually, he ended up in the hospital, and the doctors determined that he was in kidney failure at that point. Since then, Doug has been on dialysis, finding the balance with his heart medication, and went on disability. In the meantime, I offered to go through the process of being a donor for him. I got the clear from the team at the Cleveland Clinic to be a donor, and we were set to have surgery this past October 2025. That fell through because my dad got pneumonia, which has delayed the surgery until he is cleared by his doctors.

My dad is one of the hardest-working individuals I know, and I'd consider him my hero. The man gave my brother and I everything growing up and has watched me raise a family of my own. I'm only asking for assistance to help pay his medical bills, which are starting to be collected and prosecuted. Anything else will help him keep a safety net for emergencies with bills. He's barely keeping his house together with whatever money he gets from disability.
