Wheelchair Accessible Car for Micah

Hi everyone !

Micah is a 12 year old boy with level 5 spastic quadriplegic Cerebral palsy who is non verbal. He has multiple health issues also including epilepsy and reflux.

Micah is a ray of sunlight in the mist of a crowd and will make anyone’s day that he come in contact with.

As most of you are aware our little man just came out of an 8 weeks stint at the hospital after we nearly lost him.

In all of his time there they were finally able to see that he had Small Bowel Syndrome which means for the last 2 years Micah was not absorbing any nutrients! This is why he was a tiny 21kg at 12 years of age.

Now he is on the right medicine and treatment for this condition he is rapidly putting on weight and has a double chin for the first time in 8 years !

With this though the difficulty is he is too heavy to lift in and out of the car and his seat is getting too small for him.

We are asking our community friends and family to help us fund a wheelchair accessible vehicle for Micah to aide him going out into the community with his family and carers.

We are wanting to purchase a new Kia Carnival and have NDIS modify to allow for Micah and his wheelchair to ride as one.
