Little Theatre, Big Roof
And we need a new one!
For 90 years, Little Theatre of Fall River has been a cornerstone of the arts in Fall River, Massachusetts. As one of the oldest continuously operating community theaters in the nation, we have proudly offered a creative outlet for generations—mostly from our home, the Firebarn.
The Firebarn itself is a historic landmark—originally built as Quequechan No. 1, one of Fall River’s earliest fire stations. This cherished structure has been our home since the 1970s, offering a unique connection between the city’s past and its cultural present.
Now, we are facing a critical challenge.
Our historic building is in need of a new roof. After years of repairs and maintenance, the current slate roof has reached the point where replacement is necessary.
The official cost of this project is $154,538.
This will allow us to replace the existing slate roof with a long-lasting, historically matching alternative that maintains the Firebarn’s unique character. We have added several fundraising events as well as 2 additional special productions with proceeds to go to the Little Theatre, Big Roof project. We are asking for your help to raise $125,000.
As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization run entirely by volunteers, we rely on the generosity of our community to help us continue our mission. Every donation—large or small—brings us closer to preserving the Firebarn and ensuring Little Theatre can continue to serve Fall River for another 90+ years.
Please consider contributing and sharing this campaign with others who believe in the importance of community and the performing arts.
Thank you for helping us keep the lights on—and the roof over our heads.
