Who is Kevin? He’s a 28 year old, regular Cleveland guy. Graduated from Saint Ignatius in 2008, got his education degree from The Ohio University, then a masters in accounting from Bowling Green in 2015.
Life was good.
Suddenly last summer, the unthinkable. Kevin was diagnosed with a rare CHILDHOOD cancer even though he is 28! Desmoplastic small round cell sarcoma or DSRCT and though mostly kids get it, it can attack young adults, the soft tissue in their bodies, mostly in the abdomen. This cancer was hidden and showed no symptoms until it became so advanced, it was stage four.
Next? 14 intense chemo treatments, a 12-hour surgery removing numerous tumors, 20 rounds of radiation and now, an oral chemo pill for an unlimited amount of time, not to mention countless doctor appointments, scans, x-rays, blood tests
and on and on. Kevin desperately wanted to work and he tried but just couldn’t do it. The folks at his job, Cohen and Company, have been great but Kevin now needs the help and generosity of strangers to pay his medical bills and living
We can all join in and help him fight by taking some of the financial burden from him.
Kevin’s family and friends are organizing a fundraiser for October 6th. It would be awesome if you could help!
To make the event a success we are in need of any all of the following:
1. You can simply make a money donation via Go Fund Me
2. You can donate food or beverages for the event
3. You can give us gift cards or gift certificates for the baskets or the auction
4. You can give us a gift basket to sell
5. You can find us some great silent auction items from stores restaurants you know
6. You can buy a bunch of tickets and give them to friends who will come and donate a little
