Recovery Road

Hello everyone I’m Sam.

I'm starting this fundraiser to help out with medical expenses that are heading my way soon.

Last Friday, May 5, I was attacked by three guys while I was walking down a sidewalk in Scottsdale, AZ. The police and ambulance were called, and I was taken to the ER. I was in the hospital for 5 days. My left eye suffered an orbital fracture and my nose was broken in three places. My vision was blurry from the injuries. Luckily, I did not have any brain bleeds. I had surgery Monday morning, as the surgeon had to wait until the swelling subsided to work on me. The surgeon fixed the orbital fracture on my left eye, repositioned the eyeball, and stabilized my nasal cavity and nose. Surgery went well but I was told to be prepared for a second surgery to keep my nasal cavity open, since the breaks in my nose are so severe they are hard to set.

I am home now resting and recovering. I’m asking for help as I’m not allowed to return to work for four weeks and as we all know bills do not care if we work or not. I work as a heavy equipment operator. I will be using the funds for my medical expenses and to replace some of the lost income.
