Help us Save Ewelme Village Preschool
Ewelme Village Preschool has supported local families from Ewelme, Benson, RAF Benson, and other surrounding villages. Our aim has always been the same throughout this time, to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all children who attend. Our passion for what we do, paired with sheer hard work and dedication, is reflected in the “Outstanding” award given to us by OFSTED. We are in an extremely sad situation due to Covid 19 which is forcing us to close our doors after 50 years. For us to stay open we are looking for charitable donations to help our unique Preschool go back to full capacity and to make sure we can keep our devoted team of over 10 years together.
Bear in mind that the Ewelme Village Preschool is a registered charity and is run by a voluntary management committee. We are all working extremely hard to keep our Preschool open but sadly we have lost income due to the impact of Covid-19 and are unable to cover unavoidable costs. Government funding has been limited which has caused a significant problem for our sustainability. We have been lucky to stay open for as long as we have due to several generous donations, and support from families. However, we need continued support from the wider community to get us through the next few months so the preschool can continue to run.
We have had generations of the same families take their first steps with us, ensuring their learning through play experience is as fulfilling and as exciting for them as it is rewarding for us. We take enormous pride watching our children reach their early learning goals, liaising with parents and carers to provide the best possible start for each individual child. We have strong links to the community around us and play a huge part in bringing people into the village. Without us at the centre of the village other business’s trading could also be affected, we are generating spontaneous pop-ins from parents and carers at drop-off and pick-up times.
There have been many preschool closures up and down the country. So please please please dig deep and give generously! After all the hard work our team has put in, it literally would be heart-breaking to permanently close without fighting for our beloved Preschool!
THANK YOU ALL
Note: If we’re unable to meet our target and the unthinkable happens, we must close our doors. Then we have agreed that all money raised will go to the Ewelme Primary School, guaranteeing your efforts will continue to go towards educating the young people of Ewelme.
