Rebuilding After the Fire

Middlesex County - On the frigid morning of Tuesday 1/11/2022, a storage complex in Parlin, New Jersey caught fire. We are grateful that there was no loss of life or serious injuries reported but unfortunately our club was directly impacted. We were amongst the 15+ local families and businesses affected by this incident. While we hoped that we would "only" suffer smoke or water damage, our unit caught fire as the flames spread from unit to unit. Many of the items the children use week-to-week were reduced to ashes and mounds of melted plastic. Our soccer goals that were recently dismantled were also in the storage unit, as well as balls, uniforms, nets, refrigerators, photos, tents, cones, discs, training equipment, etc. We had the opportunity to assess the damage after the fire marshalls cleared the area. Unfortunately, only 6 cones and a table were salvageable.

While we try to rebuild our organization and look forward to a brighter future, we would appreciate any help from the community of families, businesses and member organizations we serve.

We plan on moving ahead as planned with the Spring Season and attempt to minimize the effect this event could have on the children throughout our service area.

The estimated damage quickly rose into the tens of thousands and although we did have $2,000 in insurance coverage, we will be coming out of pocket to replace the thousands of dollars of lost items/products.
These funds would be used to purchase items that were reserved for the Spring including:
  • Uniform Kits
  • Size 3 soccer balls
  • Size 4 soccer balls
  • Size 5 soccer balls
  • Corner Flags and bases
  • 4'x6' pop-up goals & training flex goals
  • 6.5'x18' youth soccer goals
  • 7'x21' youth soccer goals
  • Youth Pinnies
  • Cones
  • Discs
  • Agility Ladders
  • Agility/Coaching Sticks
  • Trophies
  • T-Shirts/Training Shirts
  • Banners/Signage
  • Pop-up tents
  • Beverage Coolers
  • Folding Tables

Please consider helping us recover from this fire so we can minimize the impact on the children in the community. All donations to our non-profit are tax-deductible. We are currently also open to sponsorships. Our sponsors help keep registration costs affordable, while also allowing us to offer financial aid to families in need.
