Maria vs. Cancer & Multiple Myeloma

I am starting this page for my Zia Maria. She has always been such a fighter all her life and continues to be today!  Zia Maria has been fighting bladder cancer since last November. She had surgery the day before Thanksgiving 2014. At that point she found out it was going to be a long painful road to recovery to beat that cancer. At that point working the several jobs she had was out of the question and had no choice but to cut back. The struggle of working at the school as a para with special education students was certainly difficult but she pressed on with work, treatments and medications.

November 2015 Maria found out she was going to begin another battle against Multiple Myeloma! This fight was going to be life long. The agony from this disease has made any task much too difficult to accomplish alone. Maria has had to stop working altogether since walking is even too painful. The basic needs and tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning etc has had to be put on other family members....this fund comes in to play since the medical bills are piling up and Maria is not able to work.  Her medical bills include co-payments twice a week when she goes for treatments or blood transfusions, doctor appointment co-payments and medication bills of at least $200 a month.
