Unfortunately, my mother left us sooner than expected. She had a fall in December & has been transferred to different hospitals for the past 4 months. She had many health issues but we believe her main cause of death was her kidney failure. After she was diagnosed with kidney failure, she had an infection and was getting dialysis treatments but many more complications after that. The nurse there told us she had a week left to live but ended up leaving us about 2 days after. She stopped eating and drinking since Saturday & passed Monday night 4/3. She gave a hard & long fight to hold on as best as she can but she’s no longer suffering and in a better place now. Everyone in Stockton knew her for her kind hearted self that even with many health issues she still looked out for many & took them in as her own. She leaves behind her husband who recently suffered from a seizure and is on a wheelchair and has no other family here, just her (my mother)& her 4 sons but only 2 that’s present at the moment. She is a survivor of the Khmer Rouge Regime that left millions of her people deceased. After escaping Cambodia with my older brother to the Refugee Camps set up in Thailand, she had me and my younger brother in those camps. After my younger brother was born, we were granted placement in the states. Growing up in Stockton, Ca. She raised 3 boys by her lonesome self. She was a great mother but unfortunately we chose a different path in life. She has suffered more than enough. She was living on medications to keep herself alive while still trying to care for my step father who has severe health issues as well. Please help me lay her to rest the right way, the only way she wanted to. We will send her off with a Cambodian traditional funeral so she can be with her mom and siblings in the afterlife & use the money to pay for her funeral expenses.
