Please Help Us to Rebuild

Hello there all you caring people! We never thought we would be here asking for your help and compassion. However, three days ago, our beautiful food truck exploded! I mean…exploded. Thankfully, the most important thing is that no one was hurt…physically, that is.

This was our first go round wth our

Tiki Taka food truck. We had the most awesome three months open in Muskoka Bay Park in Gravenhurst, Ontario! Although it was a tremendous amount of work for two people, we had the time of our lives. How short, but how very sweet. The community and tourists were all a pleasure to serve. We met so many wonderful and amazing people! It was our great pleasure and a complete honour to serve our new neighbours and visitors to Muskoka and the great towns of Gravenhurst, Torrance, Bala, Port Carling, and Bracebridge from such a beautiful park!

Even though Sunday October 1st was one of our most lucky/unlucky days, we are grateful it happened when it did. Let me tell you why.

Firstly, we were supposed to be in the food truck at the time, but we needed prime rib for the yummy steak sandwiches we serve. Just another reason to love prime rib!

Secondly, no one was hurt in the park at the time. (10:45am) In fact, there was no damage to the car parked near our picnic benches. Unbelievable! If the explosion happened the day before, the parking lot was FULL of cars for a baseball final.

Thirdly, if this happened at the beginning of our season, no one would have been able to enjoy our food or even know what we’re like. We LOVE what we do. Many expressed that they could taste the love in our food. (Please feel free to check out our Google reviews)

On the day it happened, there was an outpouring of love and support from the Gravenhurst community and surrounding area. We cannot begin to express our sincere appreciation for all of the calls, texts, DMs, and visits from these lovely people. This is part of the reason why we’re doing this. Many want to help in any way they can, and encouraged us to do this.

We cannot forget to give the biggest shout out to the Gravenhurst Fire Department! All we can say is…SOLID and THANK YOU❣️ In fact, we would like to donate some of the money raised to them. They volunteer to be there and the caring and professionalism we experienced from them is beyond any words we can express! Our community is very blessed to have each and everyone of them!

Any money raised will go toward rebuilding and making a stellar comeback! We are heartbroken right now, but we’re not quitters.
