Bring My Daddy Home

My name is Ashton Mercer. I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes that I can bring my daddy home to his family.

On April 3rd, 2025 my Dad, Shawn, while working in Indianapolis had a stemi-heart attack resulting in him receiving 4 additional stents on top of the one he already had and my mom, Valerie, flew from Shreveport Louisiana to be at his bedside. I on the other hand made the decision to drive. On the way to my Dad my car gave out on me leaving me stuck in the half way point between home and where my Dad was.

My dad received treatment and PT before being released from the hospital. He spent some well deserved time with some old friends he hasn’t seen in years and of course every second with my mom. There was a plan to stop in Arkansas and pick me up; but on April 10th, 2025 that plan never came to light.

My dad passed away in his sleep in the safety and comfort of my mommas presence in Missouri… 3 hours away from where I was at. My daddy is still in Missouri and we would like him to come home. If you got the opportunity to experience my daddy’s love and support, my heart goes out to you as well and you are in my prayers.
