Hi, my name is Alexa Allen. I wanted to start this Go Fund Me for me and my family during this difficult time we are experiencing. Maria Turanckas-Allen was born and raised in Bridesburg and is now living in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. My mom and dad (Ed) have been married for 30 years, and also had two children, Nicholas and I.

At age 40 my mom attended nursing school to do what she loves best, helping people.

Maria was given the diagnosis no one ever wants to get. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Maria underwent surgery and had a full recovery. Her experience inspired her to attend nursing school. At age 40 Maria graduated with her RN. Maria gave her best everyday at the hospital. She loved her job, friends, and family. She had a smile that could light up the room. Maria was also definitely a chatter. The way she could sit and talk to anyone for hours while making them instantly feel comfortable and secure is truly something amazing. She also loved to read, go the beach, and shop for hours.

In 2019 Maria began having medical issues which Dr's had a difficult time diagnosing. After many tests, labs, scans and Dr visits Maria was informed her cancer was back. This time with a vengeance! Maria went through many rounds of chemotherapy, and clinical trials being told after each round - it was not helping. Month after month her tumors grew and more presented. It was at that point when she was told there was no more chemo options to help, that we realized we needed help from our family, friends and community for medical bills, nursing care, hospice.
