Hello everyone, I am raising funds for my little sister, who was caught in a fire and battling for her life right now. Michelle was burned over 20% of her body on June 11th. The severity of the burns is still being discussed and revealed to us by her doctors, however, we do know that most of what they are seeing is 6th degree. She has lost her left ear, eye and multiple fingers. There is muscle and skull that is being removed, due to the burns and she will have a long road ahead with the reconstructive surgeries that will be essential, just for her to be released from the hospital. Right now, Michelle & I’s Grandma is housing her two girls, who found and saved Michelle, and between our grandma and I, we are working hard to handle Michelle’s affairs, while she is on life saving support in Harborview burn center. Michelle is a single mother of 4 with the oldest being a recent graduate, to the youngest being 11 years old. Between family contributions and any outside fundraising, we are hoping to keep her life as close to the same as when the accident happened. Our goal is to lessen the stresses of 6 months of absence from life, to ensure that she can focus on her physical and mental health, when she is able to come home. The funds being raised will be used to ensure that her children have the essentials, while living with great grandma. They will also be used to cover Michelle’s bills that we just cannot let go. Our family really appreciates the help and the prayers for Michelle and her children.
