Mission For Michelle

My precious friend, Michelle Lisi. A passionate mom, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all that know, love and adore her. She can be often found cheering positively, BOLDLY and ever so brightly from the sidelines at the local rugby, football or cricket or you can hear her offering words of support and encouragement to her family and friends - as they pursue their dreams. She is always laughing, volunteering her time, energy and never shying away from those who need her help. Always looking for the best possible outcomes. Always compassionate. Always generous with her heart.
If you are not familiar with Michelle you may be with her son Maverick. He is the absolute love and joy of her life. So knowing him and his spirit may give you an indication of what kind of person Michelle is. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree as they say.
What I have come to ask of you today is regarding supporting Michelle's ongoing specialised cancer treatment. A big ask I know but if you can just hear me out - this lady is worth it.
In 2017 Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. And like we expected her to, she took it head-on and only looked forward. Unfortunately, the cancer returned in 2019 and spread to her liver and spine. But the trooper that we all know she is, only had one thought in mind - that she was going to come out the other side stronger than ever. Fast forward to May of 2023, with Michelle being rushed to the hospital with a very dire diagnosis. We honestly thought she would not come home. I type this with a lump in my throat.
But she is one strong woman and stubborn - in the best of ways ( I AM TEMPTED TO INSERT A WINKING EMOJI! ). The doctors were all extremely surprised that she recovered, never mind being able to return home - which she did after 1 ½ months in hospital.
Michelle's current chemotherapy and hormone treatment plans are working well and again, the doctors are pleased with her healing direction. However, on the strong recommendation from Michelle's oncologists - adding other treatments will give Michelle's body the best chance to help heal the cancer and a chance of gaining her life back as much as possible.
Michelle's chemo protocol will be ending shortly (mid-October) and she will need a host of life-enhancing treatments, supplements and protocols with a maximum chance of survival. Unfortunately, these treatments are extremely costly and make them less accessible. We wish to grant Michelle 'a long and healthy life' and make it easier to afford the life-enhancing support she needs at this time.
So here we are, channelling our inner Michelle Lisi. It is our turn to cheer positively, BOLDLY and ever so brightly from her sidelines! I am writing to ask you to support our beautiful Michelle with a donation that can help fund her ongoing treatments. We are grateful for any heartful donations big and small. Any amount is not only appreciated but oh so valued. With much love and gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Lis X
