This is Blue. He is currently a year and a half old, and is a gentle, curious Siamese cat. As many close to me know, I adopted him with my roommates last year, and he’s brought a lot of light into my life.
On Saturday (2-1-19) I found Blue on the floor of the living room. He was semi-conscious, lethargic, and too weak to even walk. While taking him to the Veterinary Hospital he experienced a Grand Mal seizure. Upon arrival to the hospital he was also found to be hypothermic, despite being kept as an inside cat in a heated house. After radiology got involved and the CBC test came back, we found that his kidney enzyme levels are at an extremely toxic level, possibly a precursor to kidney failure. At the time of writing this he is still admitted to the vet hospital, and is receiving around the clock treatment for his kidneys and observation. The estimate has been set very high and there is a possibility, he may require a transfer to a specialty care facility in Corvallis if he requires feline Dialysis.
I’m willing to do what it takes and pay what I need to, to protect his life, but this has been an extreme, unexpected event that as both put myself and my household through the emotional ringer. I had to charge the bill to credit cards and currently am struggling to figure out how to do this, financially speaking. I really appreciate anything that anyone can spare to help, including thoughts and prayers.
Thank you
- Dylan and Blue
