We’re reaching out to ask for your support for our dear friend, playwright and director Lissa Moira, as she bravely takes on her fight against cancer.

Lissa became seriously ill during rehearsals for her latest production, Café Resistance, at Theater for the New City. She has spent her life bringing the magic of theater to others—lifting up artists, inspiring audiences, and nurturing young talent with her boundless creativity and passion.

Now, she faces her most difficult challenge.

Thankfully, her doctors are hopeful. Her blood work shows she’s a strong match for promising new immunotherapy treatments. But as you can imagine, the cost of care is overwhelming—and Lissa shouldn't have to face it alone.

We’re launching this campaign as longtime collaborators, colleagues, and friends who have worked closely with her and care deeply about her. Lissa is the direct beneficiary, and every dollar raised will go straight to her treatment and recovery.
