Funding week of Elephant Conservation
Donation protected
Hi all. My name is Ryan and I am going backpacking in Asia this summer and was recently made aware of a place I can volunteer to help with the conservation of elephants and other abused/abandoned animals in Thailand. However the cost equates to roughly $400 a week to volunteer for the lodging, food and to help fund the sancutarys operations. Due to this being a backpacking trip I am on a cheap budget. I will say outfront I can afford a week but was seeing if anyone would be willing to help fund a second week of conservation work. I would gladly make a quick blog or facebook page for those interested to see what life on the sanctuary is like and what work is being done for the animals. Below is a link to the sanctuarys site as well as a description they give. I am new to this funding site so if I missed anything please let me know. I will answer any and all questions.
The site did make me set the goal as a minimum of $500 so any money I recieve after fees ontop of the $400 would be donated directly to the sanctuary.
"Elephant Nature Park is an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in Northern Thailand where you can volunteer and visit to help.We have been involved in dozens of rescues which have created our thriving elephant herd. The park provides a natural environment for elephants, dogs, cats, buffaloes and many other animals under our care. Volunteers and visitors contribute to the healing while learning about their lives past and present. Arrange a visit to all our projects in Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar."
