Hi everyone! This is my sweet Great Dane puppy Apollo. Today he turned 7 weeks old. I bought him from a local breeder last Friday for $2,000. I was called a couple days later by the breeder stating the puppies from Apollo’s litter were dying from Parvo. The breeder first said that it came from their vet but their vet denied the allegation. Apollo soon began to vommit, not eat, and was extremely lethargic. The breeder instructed me to take Apollo to the vet to be tested. Unfortunately, Apollo tested positive for Parvo and as the vet explained had more worms than he’s ever seen a puppy have. The breeder agreed to pay the vet bill. However, after the breeder paid the deposit with the vet hospital she has now stopped paying and will not return my calls. As a result, I called her husband and he stated that they put the mom of the litter down because it was too expensive to treat her. I am in my second year of law school and bought Apollo for my toddler to grow up with. I grew up with a Great Dane and wanted that same experience for my son. However, this has turned into a not so great experience. All of Apollo’s litter mates have now died except two that are currently fighting for their life. Apollo is only 7 weeks and deserves his life. Please help me save him. No matter how small of a donation it is, Apollo really needs it. I will keep you all updated on his progress.
