Kirstin DeBoer has been a part of the FRS team for a little over a year as a CCR in our Appointment Center.
On April 1st, Kirstin ended up in the ER due to hemorrhaging. She was admitted to the hospital and underwent multiple tests as the doctors tried to find the cause for her illness. On April 8th, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. This type of cancer is very rare for a person Kirstin’s age. The doctors were hopeful that the cancer was still contained in her uterus and scheduled her for a full hysterectomy. She had a successful surgery on May 6th but may have to do radiation treatments in the future.
Having cancer is very overwhelming, not to mention the financial burden it puts on a person. We want to help her with this burden and show her that her FRS and Groundworks family are here for her.
In an effort to help show our support of Kirstin and her fight against cancer, we are launching a fundraiser. All donations are greatly appreciated, but anyone that donates $15 or more will receive a custom FRS "No One Fights Alone" tshirt. Please be sure to list your full name and tshirt size when you make your donation (for example, John Smith, Medium).
On July 12th we will unify in our support of Kirstin and sport our shirts on our #FightTogetherWinTogether day!
Groundworks will cover the cost of all shirts so that 100% of the donations will go directly to Kirstin! Our CEO, Matt Malone, has also pledged to personally match all donations.
