Hi, my name is Gaby, and together with my husband Chris, we are raising funds for our sweet pup Prince.

We rescued Prince when he was just 8 months old from a difficult home situation, and it was love at first sight. From the moment we met him, we knew he was the missing piece to complete our little family. Prince became our son and my husbands service dog as he is autistic and has ADHD. We were told he was a dachshund mix, and as he grew, we noticed his legs were a bit bowed — something we thought was just part of his unique charm.

Despite his differences, Prince always amazed us. He could run and jump faster than most dogs at the park, full of joy and energy. But over time, things began to change.

Prince’s Diagnosis
This past summer, we started noticing Prince becoming easily fatigued. He struggled to walk in a straight line, his body tilting more and more to one side. Concerned, we took him to Angell Animal Hospital, where a highly regarded orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Trout, examined him.

X-rays revealed that Prince suffers from angular deformity in both front legs, with the left leg significantly worse. His left shoulder is now out of its socket, causing him constant pain and limiting his mobility.

The Treatment Plan
The only way forward is surgery — actually, two surgeries (one for each leg, spaced 4–6 weeks apart), followed by physical therapy.

X-rays: $1,560 (already paid out-of-pocket)
Each surgery: $6,900 (total: $13,800)
Medications & rehab: Additional ongoing costs

Even though Prince has always been insured, the company has refused coverage because this was determined to be a congenital condition.
The surgeon urged us to move quickly to prevent permanent damage. But right now, the cost is more than we can manage on our own.

Why We Need Your Help
Prince is more than a pet — he’s family. Watching him slow down and live with pain is heartbreaking. He still lights up when we come home, but his playtime is limited, and he now relies on pain medication daily.

We’re asking for your help to give Prince the chance to live a happy, pain-free life. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring us closer to scheduling his surgeries and getting him back on his paws.

If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with your community would mean the world to us.

Together, We Can Help Prince Heal
We are deeply grateful for any support you can give. With your help, Prince can run, play, and live the joyful life every dog deserves.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you.
With love,
Gaby, Chris & Prince
